1. Balta Moara Vlăsiei 2 (Ilfov)
One of the most well-known and well-maintained private fishing ponds around the Capital, Moara Vlăsiei 2 is appreciated for its high density of carp and amur, but also for its organization. The banks are clean, the pontoon solid, and the rules clear.
Fishermen consistently report consistent catches, including specimens over 10–15 kg. The fishing fee is around 150–200 lei/12–24 h, depending on the sector. “It’s one of the few ponds where you really feel it’s worth the fee.”
2. Laguna Verde – Balta Belciugatele (Călărași)
Laguna Verde is one of the most popular destinations for sport fishing, but also for families. In addition to fishing, there are restaurants, gazebos and accommodation.
The lauded experience is weekend fishing combined with family relaxation, making it ideal for mixed groups. The fee is approximately 120–180 lei/day. “Good place for both serious anglers and those coming with the family.”
3. Balta Sulimanu (Călăraşi)
For more experienced anglers, Sulimanu is considered a technical pond, with big fish and real challenges.
Reviews speak of rare but spectacular catches, which makes it attractive for sports anglers. The fees are similar to the other premium pools – 150–200 lei/day. “It’s not easy, but that’s what makes it interesting.”
4. Balta Cătuşa (Giurgiu)
Balta Cătușa is appreciated for its quietness and scenery, being less crowded than the ponds in Ilfov.
The typical experience is relaxed fishing, without pressure, ideal for a day of disconnection. Fee: 100–150 lei/day. “Perfect for those who want to fish, not noise.”
5. Neajlovu Delta – Comana (permitted areas)
For natural fishing, Comana offers areas where fishing is legally allowed, under a controlled regime. The prized experience is fishing in the wild, without stands or pontoon. Fees are minimal or included in park admission. “Here fishing is about peace, not trophies.”
